- Technical Bulletin: Grain Tank Front Cross Auger Vibration. The OEM manufacturer of this combine introduced an increased unloading discharge rate on later model combines. This was achieved by changing the front cross auger drive sprocket from a 33-tooth to a 28-tooth sprocket. This kit was also offered as a retrofit to earlier machines. The increased unloading discharge rate may cause the front cross auger to vibrate. To help control the vibration problem on machines equipped with the increased discharge rate, the OEM manufacturer as well as A&I are offering an improved front cross auger A-87617556. This improved auger has a 1.75-inch inner tube that will resist flexing better than the original 1.5-inch inner tube.
